For the Love of Family

Italian inspired home

We have been blessed with so many wonderful clients over the years but every once in a while we are presented with a family that will rest in our hearts forever.

This family reached out to us last year when they moved from their home in Northwood.  Their kids are raised and gone and because their grandchildren have enhanced their lives they decided to start a new life in Lambert Ranch.

Feeling overwhelmed with the new home purchasing experience, they decided to employ me (I was referred to them due to my prior experience in the new home industry).  I was present with them at every design center appointment and I was a part of most of the interior selections during construction.  The details and the love we all put into carefully selecting each layer of textiles and design is what made this home so very special.

I have to say, this family was really brave and open hearted to this journey and to think that they moved from a home where they had 35 plus years of memories into a brand new home.  I know this sounds dreamy but family is everything to this client and they really risked a lot making such a large move.  I am so thankful that my dear client trusted me and looked to me to guide them through the entire process.  We are sharing some photos of the turn key design of this Old World meets California Styling.

Happy Designing!

On a Roll

New update on the Palos Verdes renovation: Last week was a busy week for client Annette and I. We are making great progress and definitely beginning to hone the overall details of her kitchen and bathroom renovations. We spent a lot of quality time together shopping and working on all the details of her home - big and small. We went shopping for natural stone countertops for the kitchen and visited several stone yards to weigh out our options to make certain that we selected the most gorgeous slabs for the new kitchen. We also carefully thought through the new footprint for the guest bath, master bath and kitchen.

We had a fabulous visit with my buddy Gina at Pirch! For those of you who are not familiar with Pirch, it is a definite must see “interactive kitchen, bath and outdoor showroom” at SoCo in Costa Mesa.  They have brilliant service and wonderful offerings.

It has been fun getting to know Annette and Dick.  They are so passionate about making the right choices for their family home, which warms my heart.

Beach Bungalow Finale

As promised, the final professional photographs of one of my most recent projects, the lovely Beach Bungalow, are complete.  This Newport Beach town-home started as a diamond in the rough but with LOTS of tender loving care and months of hard work she is now a stunning beauty!  It was all worth the wait.

A special thanks to my clients, Robin & Steve, for being a joy to work with, Shoreline Developers for their beautiful execution and attention to detail and for the artistic skills of Christina House in capturing the spirit of this home in her gorgeous photographs.

Happy Designing!
